Barbera Frizzante 'La Guerriera' La Caudrina 2025
"La Guerriera" is a slightly sparkling Barbera with a fresh, easy-drinking, and youthful character, ideal for convivial moments or for everyday dining. It has a very winey and fragrant aromatic profile, where notes of juicy red fruit, berries, and hints of red flowers emerge. The sip flows with great lightness and ease, highlighting a sparkling and lively freshness.
La Caudrina presents the Frizzante Barbera ‘La Guerriera’, a lively and dynamic Piedmontese red wine to be appreciated for its extraordinary drinkability. This winery from Cuneo cultivates 25 hectares of vineyards scattered throughout the Lower Piedmont region, between Langhe and Monferrato Astigiano. From its plots, the Dogliotti family, at the helm of the winery since the 1940s, produces approximately 200,000 bottles with a pleasant style, made using the most modern technologies while respecting the established local traditions. The various labels have been specially created by different artists, and among these, the illustration of ‘La Guerriera’ is by Alessandro Lupano.
The Frizzante Barbera ‘La Guerriera’ from the La Caudrina winery comes from one hectare of vineyard planted with Barbera in 1975 on hilly soils of clay-limestone origin. The vines are located at 280 meters above sea level and enjoy a south and southeast exposure. After harvesting, the grapes are traditionally vinified in red with 6 days of skin maceration in steel. At the racking, the mass is placed in autoclave where it finishes the alcoholic fermentation and undergoes malolactic fermentation, thus preserving a slight effervescence.
In appearance, La Caudrina ‘La Guerriera’ Frizzante Barbera expresses a lively purple-red color. The nose is characterized by fragrant aromas of berries, cherry, and violet, accompanied by winey notes. The palate is generous, very fresh, and easy to drink, with a lively development and great pleasantness. ‘La Guerriera’ is a convivial and carefree Barbera designed for everyday enjoyment, to be drunk young alongside simple platters of cured meats and lightly or medium-aged cheeses.
