The Greco di Tufo by Guido Marsella is a white wine of beautiful personality and progression. On the nose, there is a vibrant minerality on which sensations of cut stone fruits and fine wildflowers are layered. On the palate, it is fresh, balanced, intense, and savory
The Greco di Tufo by Guido Marsella is a white wine that encapsulates the soul of one of the most important white grape varieties in the region. It is precisely the grape, in Guido's view, that must always be the protagonist, thanks to an aromatic cleanliness sought from the very beginning of vinification, at low temperatures and in steel to maintain the fragrance of the varietal aromas intact. A bottle guided on the palate by a lovely minerality, suggesting to pour a little more wine into the glass.
This white from Guido Marsella is a Greco di Tufo that comes from vines about 25 years old, located about 500 meters above sea level, in parcels characterized by a clayey and tuffaceous subsoil. The grapes are harvested with extreme care during the manual harvesting phase, with a selection that transfers to the winery only the ripest fruits. At the end of destemming, the berries are gently pressed, and the free-run must obtained ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The final aging takes place in steel for several months.
The Guido Marsella Greco di Tufo is a wine that in the glass takes on a straw yellow color, with a rather intense hue. The aromas that envelop the nose chase each other between more fruity notes and subtle mineral hints, enriched by olfactory flashes where the flowers predominantly envelop the nostrils. On the palate, it is light-bodied, with a harmonious and round sip, characterized by a fresh and savory imprint; it finishes with a finale marked by a fruity aftertaste. An elegant and expressive white, promising a nice evolution on the palate even for the coming years, confirming the potential of the Greco even far from the harvest.
