Rioja Joven Señorio De Librares 2025
The Joven Señorío De Librares is a Spanish red wine born from the blend of three indigenous varieties: Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Mazuela. On the nose, it expresses notes of berries and floral hints, while on the palate it is rich and juicy, balanced by a nice acidity. To be paired with roasted meat for an outdoor barbecue!
The Rioja Joven from the family-run estate Señorio del Librares represents a very fresh and slender interpretation of the Rioja territory. The category "Joven", literally "young", was created to highlight those wines meant to be consumed young, still all about the fruit. These Riojas are generally produced without any aging in wood, resulting in fresh and light expressions, never demanding, suitable for everyday enjoyment.
Señorio de Librares Joven Rioja originates from a blend of Tempranillo (80%), Graciano (10%), and Mazuela (10%) grapes grown using sustainable agronomic practices. In the winery, the bunches are crushed in stainless steel tanks for alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature with skin maceration for 10-15 days. This is followed by complete malolactic fermentation and then aging for a few months in stainless steel containers. The final market release occurs after a further short resting period in the bottle.
In visual examination, the Rioja Joven from the Spanish winery Señorio de Librares shows a cerulean red color with reflections purple. The aromatic profile carries fruity hints of cherry and berries along with delicate floral notes. A rich and fresh taste development highlights delicate tannins, as well as juicy sensations, with excellent balance, finishing with red fruits consistent with the nose. Due to its fresh and accessible character, this Rioja Joven should be served at a temperature of 14-16 °C alongside assorted appetizers, platters of cold cuts and lightly aged cheeses, legume soups, or grilled meats such as ribs, pork loin, or sausages.
