Solaia is a great Supertuscan known worldwide, a prestigious and high-sounding name. It is an intense and elegant wine, born from international grape varieties and Sangiovese, aged in barriques for at least 16 months. Hints of berries, flowers and sweet spices compose a wide and intense aromatic profile.

calcareous rock and alberese. A vineyard defined by the Antinori as “the sunniest slice of the Tignanello hill.” The grapes are hand-picked and immediately brought to the winery, where separate vinifications take place by grape type. Alcoholic fermentation occurs in truncated-conical tanks of 60 hl and malolactic fermentation in barriques. The wine produced matures in barriques for between 16 and 18 months, depending on the vintage, and for at least a year in the bottle.

The Solaia of the Antinori marquises maintains, in every vintage produced, a very elegant and austere style, destined to evolve positively in the bottle for decades. The olfactory profile is broad, articulated, and complex, rich in all varieties of berries, red flowers, leather, coffee, tobacco, chocolate, sweet spices, balsamic herbs, Mediterranean scrub, and more. The sip reveals great body and roundness, well-calibrated power, dense and robust tannins. A wine of absolute excellence record, a paradigm of Italian excellence in winemaking.
